Oats is very healthy, rich in fibre. These wadi or muthiya is healthy, quick, tasty and easy recipe with oats. These are steamed oats cake with some vegetables and spices. It is a perfect Tea time snack or you can have it for breakfast as well.

INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups oats (coarsely powdered)
- 1 cup (packed) spinach (finely chopped)
- 1 cup (packed) spring onion (or any other vegetables like grated carrot, cabbage, etc)
- 1/4 to 1 cup of gram flour
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tsp red chilly powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- salt as per taste
- 2-3 tsp oil
- 1 tsp cumin and mustard seeds
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
- water
DIRECTION
- Apply some oil to a plate or steamer
- Mix coarsely powdered oats, gram flour, spinach, spring onion, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, sesame seeds and salt in a bowl
- Add yogurt and make stiff dough with little water
- Make the cake in rectangular or circular shape, put them in a oil greased plate
- Steam it for 15-20 min
- After removing from steamer, Let it cool down for 5 min, then cut it into desired shape
- Heat a pan on medium flame, add 2-3 tsp of oi, cumin seeds, mustard seeds and sesame seeds and steamed oats muthiya for 2-3 min
- Serve hot with tomato sauce
Note
- I have used only spinach and spring onions, you can add more vegetables
- You can deep fry steamed muthiya instead of stir fry to make it more crispy
